Meet Jenn

My name is Jenn and I am a white, cisgender, bisexual woman and psychologist. Growing up in a low-income family and community has shaped my life and work in many ways, mostly in that it is important for me to make therapy accessible and welcoming to those who it historically has overlooked as a field. My personal and professional feminist values lead to a socially-aware, integrative approach to therapy that considers not just the mental health of the person in front of me, but also the world that the person lives in. At the end of the day, it is most important for me to be a real human in the room with another real human- as such, I tend to use humor at times and my style in therapy is much more conversational and relational than it is formal.

As a trauma-informed and radically affirming therapist, I aim to help clients with challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, self-image, relationships, eating disorders, and more. The majority of my clinical experience has been in working with LGBTQ+ clients as well as individuals with substance use challenges. I also enjoy integrating mindfulness and acceptance practices in therapy in order to help clients live in the present moment as opposed to ruminating on the past or worrying about the future. I work from a sex positive, culturally-sensitive, and polyamory-aware lens and welcome discussion of these topics in therapy. I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Masters in Education in Human Sexuality, both from Widener University.
